Harsha'a Kaikoo 26th Oct. 2006

Harsha's Kaikoo is an annual quiz conducted by Harsha Bhogle in Hyderabad. It is a part of the build-up to the Hyderabad 10k run & half Marathon. Though not many turned up for the Quiz, it was fun.

Harsha was at his usual best - Sharp, Spontaneous and Superb. Nothing can take it away from him the fact that he is the best TV host you can have for a Sports channel. I sometimes wonder, what will happen to ESPN STAR if Harsha walks out. Anywas, its not my job to think about all this, but YES, yesterday i met my role-model Mr. Harsha Bhogle. My hero since childhood.

The Quiz was a mix of General, Business & Sports questions. Questions were well framed and i am told that the content was provided by K-Circle, the only Quizzing club in Hyderabad. Murali Duggineni & Me finished first, Lateesh and Raghuram from JNTU, fresh out of Sanskriti Quiz victory, finished second and Anchal Mathur with Harish from Sierra Atlantic finished third. Getting to meet my role model and win the quiz too was like having two cakes and eating them too.

Sanskriti is the annual B-School fest of Institute of Public Enterprise(IPE), Hyderabad. This year, i.e. Sanskriti 2006 was as interesting as ever. The one major reason why people come to IPE is because of the Quiz. IPE, for the last 2-3 years has been producing very good quizzers like Aravind Ghosh Suri, Ramamurthy, Praneet Reddy, Anchal Mathur, Rahul Prajapati, etc.

I happened to host the finals of RANABHOOMI, the business quiz event this year. After the written prelims, the 6 teams that made it on stage were JNTU, ICFAI, OUCCBM 1 , DVR IMS,OUCCBM 2 and XVJIM.

JNTU finished first monopolistically followed by ICFAI and DVR IMS finished third.
The quiz will be posted on this blog in parts. The answers can be mailed to deepak.harsha@gmail.com
